Paleo-Indian artifacts of Angostura, Plainview, Scottsbluff, and Golondrina. The Angostura, Plainview, and Scottbluff artifacts date from late paleo to early archaic, 10,000 to 8,000 years before present (b.p.) The Golondrina artifacts date from transitional paleo, 9,000 to 7,000 b.p. Many of these relics come from the extensive paleo encampment in Wilson County, Texas, often referred to as the Sand Pit.
